MILWAUKEE, WI - (October 13, 2010) - The Winners of The 2010 W3 Awards have been announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts today. Receiving over 3,000 entries, The W3 Awards honors outstanding Websites, Web Marketing, Web Video, & Mobile Apps created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide. Highlighting the diversity of entries and winners in this year’s competition, the 2010 winners represent an impressive group of agencies and companies of all sizes. Included in this year’s winners once again, is silver winner eightseconds from New Berlin, WI. eightseconds Silver award was for the entry of Breezy Hill Nursery’s Website in the Consumer Goods category, judged alongside Hyundai Sonata, Sony, Revlon and Guess.

“It was an exciting project for us,” states Kari-Lynn O’Neil, Partner and Strategist for eighseconds. “This award isn’t just about design, copy and strategy created by an agency. Breezy Hill’s website was measured against it’s peers and won because our client choose to pursue a way to reach audiences that was innovative and adaptive. Breezy Hill stands out against the competition, and that’s why the site won.”

“When we decided to revamp our website, it was my decision to find a company to make it happen,” explains Kasey Plucinski, Public Relations Director of Breezy Hill Nursery. “In doing my research for the right company there were so many cookie-cutter sites out there, that I made it my mission to find someone who could develop an award winning site, that would bring in the traffic we needed.” Plucinski continues, “Now when I say award winning...I didn't actually mean our site had to win an award, but eightseconds took that as a challenge. We are so proud to call breezyhillnursery.com home and hope to keep this standard of excellence up!”

"We were once again amazed by the high standard of excellence represented throughout the entries we received this year. W3 winners continue to embody what the internet is all about and continue to raise the bar in Web development and design. We are honored to have reviewed such a diverse and remarkable pool of work this year" said Linda Day, the executive director of the IAVA. "On behalf of the entire Academy, congratulations to this year’s W3 Award entrants and winners as they continue to push the limits of Web Creativity. "
